The Logitech Z313 is not your usual low-end speaker system. Despite its inexpensive price, this Logitech speaker system offers a lot. Want to know more about the Z313?
Read on then.
In this post, we tell you the speaker system’s design & construction, performance & sound quality, pros & cons, and operating system that are compatible with the Logitech Z313 driver.
1. Logitech Z313 Design & Construction
Let’s start the review with the design and construction. In terms of design, the Logitech Z313 looks rather unusual.
On the one hand, it has an outdated, blocky subwoofer. On the other, it has futuristic-looking satellites. As strange as it sounds, this unusual design allows the speaker to blend in just about any environment, which is a plus.
The build quality of the Z313 is decent, which is hardly surprising considering how much the speaker cost. The speakers are made of plastic. There are parts with a touch of glossy, but most are matte black.
The satellites’ dimensions are 5.75 x 3.5 x 3.2 in. each, and they are lightweight, weighing a pound in total. As for the subwoofer, it has dimensions of 9 x 6 x 8.66 in and weighs 5 pounds.
Thanks to its compact design and weights, the speaker system can fit even tight spaces.
There is also a control pod. By far, it is the cheapest-looking of speaker system. The control pod allows the user to turn on and off the subwoofer, control volume, and plug a headphone into it.

2. Logitech Z313 Performance & Sound Quality
When it comes to performance and sound quality, the speaker system does deliver. This is quite impressive, considering how inexpensive the Z313 is.
The Logitech Z313 is plug-and-play and very user-friendly. You just need to connect the speaker system to a PC or Mac, and the Logitech Z313 driver will install automatically.
The speaker system is compatible with major operating systems, too. So yes, you can plug the speaker system, and it will be ready to play your favorite music within seconds—no need to download and install any software at all.
The audio delivery of the Z313 is quite spot-on. The clarity and separation are excellent throughout the range. Better still, the same goes for the surrounding sound effect.
What about the bass? The subwoofer can produce clean-sounding bass. The low-end reproduction is, surprisingly enough, rather refreshing.
Of course, the Z313 has downsides, too. What are the downsides of the speaker system?
The downsides are that the speaker system doesn’t support Bluetooth connectivity, no bass control to modify the levels of the bass, and distortion at higher volumes.
When you play under the 70% mark, the audio quality and bass are good. But when you exceed the 70% mark, distortion starts to appear.
Also, although the speaker system can produce good clean sounding bass, it can be overwhelming for movie watching. You can use an equalizer to work around this problem.

4. Logitech Z313 Compatible Operating System
The Logitech Z313 is plug-and-play. Meaning, you just need to connect it to a PC or Mac, and the Logitech Z313 driver will be installed automatically. That is, as long as the PC or Mac runs a compatible operating system.
Fortunately, the driver is compatible with major operating systems. Here are the operating systems that are compatible with the driver.
1. Logitech Z313 for Windows
Compatible OS: Windows 10 (32 bit / 64 bit), Windows 8.1 (32 bit / 64 bit), Windows 8 (32 bit / 64 bit), Windows 7 (32 bit / 64 bit)
2. Logitech Z313 Software for Mac OS X
Compatible OS: MacOS X 10.10 or newer
Despite being a low-end speaker system, the Logitech Z313 offers a lot. From good construction, compact design, good audio quality, and bass to user-friendliness.
However, as good as it is, it has downsides, too—for example, no support for wireless connection or ability to modify bass levels. But if we consider the price, it is quite understandable.
So if you are looking for an inexpensive speaker system, the Z313 is a good option. Of course, to enjoy what the speaker system has to offer, you will need to download the Logitech Z313 driver.
