1. Logitech G700 Design

The G700 is designed to be comfortable. The buttons and palm rest are made of plastic, and it has textured sides, allowing for a more comfortable and better grip.

It also has a thumb rest that fits the thumb nicely.

The dimensions of the mouse are 5.51 x 3.66 x 8.31 inches. With these dimensions, it will fit your hand nicely regardless of the size of your hand or the grip you use.

With a weight of 1.06 pounds, the mouse is slightly heavier than the standard wired mouse. This is due to the peripheral’s wireless receiver and built-in rechargeable battery.

The mouse has a total of 13 buttons. In addition to the left- and right-click buttons, the G700 has four thumb buttons, three buttons for the index finger, and one underneath the scroll wheel.

The scroll wheel itself can be clicked in three directions.

Design-wise, it’s great. The thing is, the G700 is designed for right-handed users only. If you are a left-handed person, you probably won’t find this mouse comfortable.

2. Logitech G700 Features

The G700 has a total of 13 buttons. 8 are programmable G-keys, toggle buttons to increase and decrease the resolution, an integrated back button, and a toggle that allows you to change the scroll wheel from free spinning to ratcheting and back.

Setup is easy as the G700 has a plug-and-play feature. You just need to plug it into a PC, and the driver will install automatically. To customize the 13 buttons, you will need to install the Logitech G700 software.

Using the software, you can customize not only the buttons but also the resolutions, save your profiles (up to 10 profiles, 5 saved on the peripheral, and 5 others on a computer), switch profiles, download game profiles, and many more.

The mouse offers wired and wireless options. To use it wirelessly, plug in the transceiver to a computer. Keep in mind that using it wirelessly consumes the built-in rechargeable battery.

But unlike with other wireless mouse, you just need to plug it into a computer to charge the battery.

3. Logitech G700 Performance

Wireless mouse are often not as responsive as their wired counterparts. But, Logitech is able to offer the best from both worlds with the G700.

The mouse is not only responsive but also precise and accurate. This applies to gaming and everyday tasks.

Wired or not, the performance of the G700 is great. You won’t notice the difference other than more freedom of movement. The tracking is smooth and consistent. There is no lag or stuttering.

The mouse has onboard memory. You can save up to 5 profiles on the peripheral. Customize the buttons, and the mouse will remember. There is also a button that allows you to adjust the resolution in-game.

Of course, these provide you with a better gaming experience.

What about the battery life? The battery life doesn’t last for very long, unfortunately. But it is hardly an issue as you can use the mouse while it is charging. Plus, it charges quickly, too.
