1. Logitech F710 Design
What’s unique about the design of the F710 is that it combines elements from PlayStation DualShock and Xbox controllers. On the one hand, the overall design and button placement are similar to the DualShock controllers.
On the other, the letters and colors resemble the Xbox controllers.
The hybrid design is not without benefits. Firstly, it provides familiarity. If you often play console games, it won’t take long before you get used to the controller.
Secondly, this provides you with access to a plethora of games.
In terms of looks, well, it’s not too shabby. The front has a silver finish, while the back is coated in matte black, which not just improves the looks but also provides a better grip.
Here is the layout:
- Four face buttons on the right.
- Two analog sticks at the bottom.
- D-pad on the left.
- LB and RB shoulder buttons and LT and RT trigger buttons at the top.
- Start, Vibration, Mode, and Back buttons in the middle.
- A toggle to customize the input mode at the top.
2. Logitech F710 Comfort
The F710 is quite comfortable to hold. When you get a hold of it, you will notice its ergonomics immediately. Both sides of the controller are covered in rubber.
This, in turn, provides a decent grip.
The ergonomics design and rubberized sizes ensure that you will feel comfortable when playing games. Yes, even if your gaming sessions last for hours on end.
The battery compartment is located on the back. As a result, the back of the controller has a slight bump. This might cause a slight discomfort initially.
But as you get used to the controller, it will not be an issue.
Also, the controller weighs 10.2 ounces. If you are used to lighter controllers, it might take time to get used to the F710.
3. Logitech F710 Button feel and Performance

The face buttons feel incredible. They are almost as responsive as solid as the Xbox controller’s face buttons. The same can’t be said about the D-pad, however.
The D-pad moves around a lot. If you play 2D platforming games, you will immediately realize this. Fortunately, the analog sticks compensate for what the D-pad is lacking.
The sticks feel great and solid.
The shoulder buttons are good and responsive. You may find they are stiff initially. But over time, the stiffness will no longer be an issue. The trigger buttons are also incredible.
The travel distance is just right. They also have ample resistance.
The controller supports XInput and DirectInput. All modern titles support XInput, while DirectInput is supported by some older titles. You can switch the input mode by moving the toggle at the top of the controller.
